Pacific House

Pacific House is the extensive renovation of a family beach house that had good bones but did not take full advantage of the site’s expansive views and possibilities for outdoor spaces overlooking the ocean.

Working within tight planning constraints for this steep Palm Beach site, approval of a new roofline allowed the main ocean facing doors to be lifted from 2.1m to 2.7m with an additional sky-window above. An extensive new steel structure was then coordinated to provide large, unobstructed views and cantilever a generous verandah with much needed rain cover and sun-shading.

Elsewhere, strategic upgrades to materials, screening elements, and landscaping have transformed the external presentation of the house and dramatically improved the entry sequence to the property.
